Sofia's passion for photography has led her on numerous expeditions including the Sinai Desert, New York, Turkey, Spain, Canada, Oman, Marrakech, Dubai, Bali, Tanzania and most recently Iran. In addition to her photography, Sofia has been working as an independent art consultant since 2003. Sofia has developed acquisition strategies within contemporary, modern American, European and Latin American art fields. Her knowledge has formed and broadened extensive and intelligent collections for major foundations and private collectors, and facilitated relationships with auction houses and galleries. Currently Sofia is the Chief Curator of the new London Gallery, the Warehouse, acting as consultant for Xerxes Gallery based in Tehran and is building the art collection of a real estate business in London. Sofia is also a proficient writer, serving as the New York and London Correspondent for the Spanish magazine Arte Y Parte Magazine since 2001. In addition, Sofia volunteers her time with charitable organization. She is highly involved with the Stratreal Foundation based in London and has organized an art exhibition in New York to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged children in Africa at the Mkombozi School.
